Johannesburg relies on education for the foundations of its smart city

Project description

In order to launch its project "Johannesburg smart city", the city has developed a programm to form 1 000 young students in ICT, considerer as indispensable tools nowadays. Branded City of Johannesburg to Educate Digital Interns (COJEDI), the programm is centred on innovation and entrepreneurship. Its purpose is to prepare students to the job market and empower them so that that significantly participate in the development of the ICT sector, one of the essential driving forces for the growth of the national economy. This project aims at fostering human resources of the country to the digital economy challenge.
