Uprise.Africa, a South African Equity Crowdfunding Platform created in 2017, wants to be the go-to place for early-stage companies looking to raise funding by positioning itself as an innovative online platform to discover, learn and invest in local business. In October last year, Uprise. Africa received an undisclosed amount of funding from Nexxus Ventures, based on a ZAR60 million (US$4.2 million) valuation of the company, to enable it to launch new deals on its platform in the coming months.
