Saboutech

The first Guinean incubator

Project description

Saboutech is the first Guinean incubator. It is specialised in ICTs, renewable energies and environment. In these fields, quality projects already exist in Guinea as well as in the diaspora, but they lack of visibility cause the ecosystem they tend to evolve in is not fitting. The aim of the incubator is to highlight these approaches and innovative and entrepreneurship initiatives. In soussou, peulh and malinké dialects, Sabou means "helping hand". Launched in March 2016, Saboutech is now well-established. In June, it integrated the steering committee of Afric'innov along with other incubators from the continent. Saboutech supports in the idea stage-companies for six months and already created ones for three years. It also is a co-working space for independent workers and freelancers. Bolloré Africa Logistics and Orange Guinea arethe basis of this initiative. This partnership is the result of a partnership between the public and the private spheres (Guilab, Fiduxis, Total, SGBG, Sobragui, the ARPT, the Ministry of Youth and Employment, the Ministry of technical Education, Vocational Training, Employment and Labour).
