The digitalisation of the administration od Djibouti

Project description

The Global Bank and the Republic of Djibouti have launched, in 2018, an e-gov programm to connect the State and the citizens while improving the transparency, the efficiency and the equity of the public administration in the country. Besides ensuring a better access to administrative services, the project will allow the government to set a more efficient taxes collecting system in order to foster national development. The Public Administration Modernisation Project, of a four years length, should help Djiboutu to establsh a legal framework and adopt necessary technologies to the digital transformation of the country. One of the main measures of the project is to unify the numerous social register while integrating them into the new national identity system (e-ID), in which each citizen can access administrative services.
