The Moroccan structure OmniUp exists since 2017 and offers services in the advertisment field, but also in those of connectivity, IT maintenance and computer consulting. The startup was brought up during the Africa CEO Forum 2018 where Ali Bensouda, founder of OmniUp, has described his Wi-Fi offer to be displayed freely in public spaces in return for advertising videos broadcast on smartphones before the logging in. With this offer also being provided in the train stations of the Moroccan National Railways Office (ONCF), in fifteen-some malls, but also banks and municipalitie in the Kingdom, this startup claims to have gained 7 millions of Moroccan people already, mainly using prepaid mobile bundles. This innovative use of advertisments allows OmniUp to connect to the network without them spending a single dirham.
