MSTAR

A USAID initiative to couple mobile technologies and service to citizens

Project description

mStar Liberia is an initiative of the USAID aiming at facilitating the payment of the salaries' incomes by the State of Liberia. Often coerced into traveling to remote destinations in order to obtain their paycheck, doctors and teachers can be highly disadvantaged by the traditional payment system. In order to terminate all of the annoyances caused by this necessity officials have to be absent and spend money in order to get their paycheck, mStar allows the State to pay its agents directly on their mobile money account and foster efficiently the public service and the life of these officials.
