Microsoft App Factory

The experiential space for young developers and ICT graduates

Project description

First launched by the company Microsoft, the AppFactory is an experimental space for young developers and ICT graduates to turn their ideas into reality. It equips students with hands-on software development experience and helps them gain critical skills to secure jobs, or start their own business. AppFactory interns can spend up to six months working on real-world projects with senior software engineers. At the end of each internship, graduates will be able to fully design, implement and deploy cloud-enabled, mobile and IT solutions. The program Microsoft 4Afrika currently has 11 AppFactory academies across Africa, in countries including South Africa, Egypt, Ghana, Ethiopia, Mauritius and Malawi.
