Mergims

The remotely payment platform conceived for the African diaspora

Project description

Created in 2015 by the Rwandan Louis-Antoine Muhire, Mergims is a remote payment platform conceived for the African diaspora. It aims at paying urgent expenditures like those of scolarship, electricity bills, telephone credits, medecine, etc., online, so that members of the African diaspora can make sure the amounts they're sending to their relatives aren't diverted from their sole purpose. The fee collected by the platform are way lower than those on the traditional global money transfer market. While traditional actors operate on a cash-to-cash method, Mergims is a cash-to-goods type of actor. This business model allows Mergims to be remunerated by Rwandan subsidiary partners besides fees incomes originating from the ads on the application.
