Project description
KommTrace is a solution to fight against Covid 19 by making it easier to trace potential cases. This card with the size of an ID is able to record another card of the same type within 2 meters wirelessly. If the cardholder tests positive, an authorized government representative can download the data on the card and inform those who may have been in close contact to watch symptoms, recommend self-isolation, or test. KOMMTRACE Tag possesses an anonymous and unique ID and does not store any personal or location information whatsoever. This innovative solution brought by KommLabs in partnership with Smart Africa will be piloted in Rwanda, before being extended to the whole of Africa.
