In order to foster the Senegalese economic momentum via online shopping, Jumia - an e-trade site founded in Nigeria in 2012, radiating on the entire African continent - launches in 2018 its Jumia Academy. It is an online learning center displaying a formation program meant to help Senegalese -merchants to master the skills and tools vital to the e-trade. When realizing that, despite the explosive growth of online sales, the e-merchants truly mastering the mechanisms and subtleties of the online presence were only a few to exist, Jumia decided to share its expertise and its practices to instill the e-trade culture in a hundred Senegalese businessmen. Jumia Academy, already operating, displays daily courses in both French and Wolof.
