In Senegal, 80 per cent of the working population is not covered by any healthcare system, while as much as 72 per cent of a family’s spending on health is on drugs expenses. An entrepreneur has found a solution to fight the waste of drugs and the illegal sale of counterfeit seals. The application is called JokkoSanté, and it allows to exchange expired or unused drugs with health centers against other pharmaceuticals. However JokkoSanté also offers companies the opportunity to enhance their visibility and social impact by financing population medication.
