Rwanda has partnered with OneWeb, a UK based company, to launch the "Icyerekezo" satellite, which will provide high-speed Internet access to Rwandan schools in remote areas. The launch of this satellite is a symbol of Rwanda's determination to develop the space industry, build local capacity, inspire the new generation and bring Rwanda into a hyper-connected future. The benefits of launching this satellite should go beyond access to the Internet, also allowing remote communities to access economic opportunities and government's services s and provide access to the educative content.
