Fidel

A playful application to learn mathematics

Project description

After studies i Germany where they meet, the young Ethiopian Eskinder Mamo and Amanuel Abrha decided to go back to Ethiopia and found in 2014 the startup AhadooTec, carrying the Fidel project. Fidel is a free application allowing African middle schoolers to learn different subjects, online or off-line, via their computer, their tablet ou their mobile device. It consists of a playful formation. Pupils need to sign in on the Internet platform to access their content. Communication is made possible with other students thanks to mailing system included in the application, for them to ask each other questions or challenge each other. The Internet website also asks teachers to contact them for the application to be installed in their establishment. Fidel is available everywhere and on any device, on a continent where mobile phones are even more spread than computers. Hence, Fidel is a solutionto the education challenge in Africa, especially when it comes to the lack of school supplies.
