Project description
In January 2018, the construction of the submarine cable Djibouti Africa Regional Express (DARE), has debuted. Its constructed was made possible by the TE Sub company. This infrastructure, of a 5 400kms length, will connect, once achieved, Djibouti to Mombasa in Kenya, while serving the three great coastal cities of Somalia: Mogadiscio, Berbera and Bosaso. An additional connection towards Tanzania is foreseen. This cable will provide with additional broadband data capacities for all of the countries crossed, which will contribute to the development of their digital economy.
