A computer code formation space

Project description

The Beninese digital strategist Cossi Médard Adbayson has created Blolab in March 2015, the first ever laboratory of digital manufacturing or Fablab in Benin to answer an increasing need in the population (in particular young people) to acclimate to the use of prototyping technologies as well as the broadcasting of the creation and innovation spirit. Located in Cotonou, it offers a digital innovation and technological democratisation space, while offering machines, an Internet connection, tools and hardware to conduct projects, discover and express creative potentials. Blolab embroiders its activities around the discovery of Linux and open source technologies (OpenStreetMap, Ubuntu...), the web and mobile developping, the programmation and manufacturing of technological hardware for childre from recycled harware. Its community consists of people of all generations, there and everywhere: geeks, developers, hackers, designers, artists, farmers, journalists, teachers, researchers, students, but also some curious people who have the love of manufacturing by themselves adn sharing knowledge in common.
