The trust of the citizens in their local government is one of the key factors for a sustainable and viable local governance. The application SHAPE, abbreviation for Smarter Harare through Participatory E-inclusion, is one of the components of the Harare Yangu project which is an initiative of the Development Reality Institute aiming at increasing the transparency of the local governance in the Zimbabwean capital. Via a mobile application, citizens are able to monitor the allowance of budget share of the local government in real-time, as well as adjudicate about it and participate in the life of the city thanks to nex technologies. Following its success in Harare, the programm could be launched in other cities of the country.
