Launched in 2015, Yoco aims to facilitate economic integration by making card payments accessible to small businesses. The technology of the mobile point of sale is based on a small payment terminal and a free application downloaded on the seller’s mobile phone. Yoco plays a role of payment facilitator in a country where, despite a strong penetration of the bank card, many sellers are still limited to cash settlement. Yoco has raised $ 16 million in September 2018.
