The Digital Observer 4 Africa project is based on three key principles: common interest, collaborative content and open data.
Our project is based on an assessment: finding workable and viable data related to actors, countries and infrastructure of the African continent proves to be mission impossible.
Thus, it is with pragmatism and humility that we designed this open data portal. Our goal is to initiate a more global dynamic of gathering and sharing data related to the African continent which, if they exist, regularly lack reliability or accessibility.
The datasets listed in the Digital Observer for Africa open data portal cover the continent’s 54 countries and target a wide range of datasets, harvested on the web, sorted and sometimes produced by the teams of the association.
